I've never been a pearl fan. Funnily enough my grandmothers name is Pearl. I always associated the little white ball with elderly women with gloves and hats so never really saw their true value. That is changing. I'm starting to appreciate the time and miracle that occurs to make one, genuine, lustrous pearl. There are all different types of pearls, but I think the classic white pearl would be my choice of extravagant gift if money was no option. And I don't think I'd go a perfectly round one either. I've always liked things a little off kilter. What do you think? Are pearls the new diamond?
