Your home and Health

Part of being a vintage lover is having one's house littered with all things old and interesting.  One of such items is this cute little book circa. 1950 that offers nuggets of advice on health, a good marriage, exercise, and warns to stay away from cigarettes; and all sorts of other amusing recommendations.  One of the most interesting chapters that tickled our tonsils was the 'How to Please your Husband' chapter, that included having a nip of brandy and his slippers ready for when he got home from work.  This warranted a number of chuckles and guffawing as we watched Lara's husband fussing about the kitchen cooking roast pork and readying a tray of appertisers and champagne for us as we blogged and laughed about this little book.  Oh how times have changed!

  3. That does sound hilarious! I'd totally be laughing too. My boyfriend also does the cooking. The book is very cute (although yes, obviously totally outdated!)
