Grace Lillian Lee

So I've been annoying tweeting everyone about how excited I was to go to my first fashion show - being from the Far North, exposure to these things doesn't come easy (Music at times sits in the 'end of the earth' category too) So when I read about a local Cairns girl showcasing some of her work that was presented at the Melbourne Spring Fashion week 2010, I got a little excited.  In her collection, Grace Lillian Lee incorporated some of the Far Norths' trademarks with her use of colour, texture and fabric.  I fell in love.  Again.  She also showcased a few reworked vintage outfits that had me rather intrigued, but unfortunately due to my incompetence with a DSLR, I managed only to get head shots.  Lucky for me some of the fascinators the girls were rockin' were totally rad. Here's a sneak peak of her night:
So breezy

Gorgeous weave which is reminiscent of Cairns Lagoon artwork
Thinking pythons...
Lovin' the Carmen Miranda vibe with the flowers
